ARTIST STATEMENT

Eva Kraljic works predominantly with photographic processes, writing and sound to explore relational and narrative potentials of the material and thresholds of intelligibility. Kraljic’s work is often takes the form of inter-medial installations, collaborations and workshops. In their research and by facilitating workshops she explores principles of critical pedagogy, anthropological theories of value and forms of knowledge production in creative practice.



LONG BIO

Eva Kraljic is a Slovenian artist, currently based between London and Ljubljana, Slovenia. She has graduated from BA (Hons) Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts, UAL in 2017. She will be graduating  from her MFA in Fine Art Media at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London in 2021.

Kraljic regularly exhibits across the UK and Europe: Barbican Arts Trust , London UK ,(2020); Bark Berlin, Berlin, Germany (2020); Die Biestbrook in Bruxelles; 0.666 in Osstende, Belgium (2019); Resonance FM (2019); Parco Arte Vivente, Turin, Italy (2019). Slade Research Centre (2019) and Subsidiary Projects (2018), Parasite Gallery (2018), Yamamoto Keiko Rochaix (2017) in London. Her writing has been featured at the Inside Writing Festival, Newcastle UK ( 2020); Words to be Looked at Wolfson College, University of Oxford, UK (postponed). She has hosted workshops and creative courses for the Silvan Furlan Foundation, Slovenia (2016); Casa de la Capra/ Civico Museo Archeologico Mergozzo Italy ( 2019); Chelsea College of Arts, UK (2018-2020).
